Palisades Nuclear Power Plant to Host Public Open House

Covert, Mich. – Palisades Nuclear Power Plant will host a public open house on September 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Palisades’ Joint Information Center, located at 330 West Main Street, Benton Harbor. Palisades representatives will be available to discuss various plant topics with the public. In addition, guided tours of the Joint Information Center will be available beginning at 5:30 and 6:15 p.m.

“This open house will be similar to the one we held last May, where community members had the opportunity engage in discussions with our employees in a warm and welcoming environment. We believe our own employees are the best source of accurate information regarding Palisades’ operations and we want to provide the opportunity to meet the nuclear professionals who work tirelessly to ensure that Palisades operates safely day in and day out,” says Palisades Site Vice President Tony Vitale.
